DOWNERS GROVE, IL (July 31, 2000) – LP Software, Inc., creators of LPMS™, the loss prevention industry’s first Internet-based loss prevention management system, announced the release of version 1.03 of the LPMS™. Brian Eskra, president and founder of LP Software said, “We have added several enhancements to version 1.03, many of which have been suggested by our first clients. Especially significant is the addition of the “specialty store enterprise option” which provides a set of features designed to accommodate specific practices that differ between the specialty store retailers and the traditional department stores. Our clients that have beta tested version 1.03 are very pleased with the results.”

In addition to the “specialty store mode features” the LPMS™ now includes:

  • Expanded Theft Accounting: Automatically calculates the value of non-recovered merchandise, cash, and credit theft.
  • Accident Case Management: Provides capability to manage and track cases for various “client defined” accident types.
  • Narrative Spell Checker: A spell checker tool has been added to check the narrative sections of reports.
  • Employee Tables: Employee tables have been added to record personal data for background investigations or theft incidents. Data can be imported from personnel data systems to automatically populate incident entry fields.
  • Improved Data Deletion Capability: Deletion options have been made more flexible for all types of data.
  • Witness Information Screen: A new system tab now records more detailed witness information required for many different types of incidents.
  • Internet Updates: System users will now be able to update LPMS™ through the Internet. This allows clients to receive the latest software patches and upgrades with the simple click of a mouse.
